For Winter 2024, Snapology will be offering RoboPets for Grades K-2 and GameBots for Grades 3-6 at the Purcellville location of Open Air. These classes will take place in the same classroom space, with students working on the program applicable to their grade level.
Snapology GameBots- (Third- Sixth grade)
In this game-focused robotics program, your engineer will explore the basics of robotics while playing some really awesome games with and against their classmates! While working with a partner to complete various challenges, your student will be taught how to effectively utilize sensors, how different mechanical components work in their robots, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with creative building challenges and awesome games!
Snapology RoboPets- (Kindergarten- Second grade)
In this course, your builder will begin their exploration into the world of robotics by building simple, animal-inspired machines that are controlled by icon-based program codes. We will teach your little learner some fundamental engineering and programming concepts as they build goofy animals and design perfect habitats to protect their new robotic friends. Maybe you can’t have an alligator as a pet at home, but you can definitely build one in our classroom at Snapology!
