Faith Based or Secular?

This program is focused on elective classes only, and families from all walks of life enjoy our classes. Open Air is organized and run by Christian families, but there is no statement of faith required to participate, and all are joyfully welcomed!   Our 5-10 minute character lessons in PE feature wholesome character traits such as Courage, Kindness, and Self-Control, and the belief that God is the source of all goodness and virtue. Our field trip options have sometimes featured a Christian organization such as Camp Highroad or a prayer over lunch.

Elementary Base Package Information (K-5th Grade) – $265

We are proud to announce that GamePoint Athletics will offer Physical Education and the Loudoun Chapter of Abrakadoodle will offer Art as the “base package” for Open Air Electives at the Elementary level.  These two classes are offered as the centerpiece of the program for $265, which includes 8 weeks of classes, all enrollment and space rental costs, as well as access to community-style field trips on Thursdays and/or Fridays. During Art and PE, students will be grouped according to birthdate into either the Early Elementary (K-2nd Grade) or Upper Elementary (3rd-5th Grade) class. After Base Package, you may opt to enroll your student in an additional elective class based on interest, for which we have a variety of selections for you (see 3rd Hour Options below)!

Middle School Base Package Information (6th-8th Grade) – $300

We are excited to announce that we are extending classes up to 8th Grade for 2026-27, and will be offering our first Middle School program!  GamePoint Athletics will continue to offer P.E. in partnership with local art vendors to bring you an exciting new option for tweens & teens!  At our Claude Moore Park location, we are thrilled to partner with Mama Miss Art Studio, a Best of Loudoun Finalist for Best Art Gallery, headed up by Melissa Klinker, who is a well loved art instructor in the homeschool community. At our Purcellville location, we are so excited to feature Middle School Art by Ms. Heather Dixon, an experienced art educator with a Masters degree in Art, who will be sure to take our students to new heights!  Base Package for Middle School will continue to include the option to add on 3rd hour classes, as well as access to family style field trips.

P.E. by GamePoint Athletics

Physical Education offers a variety of enriching activities that focus on teamwork, friendly competition, skill development, and tons of fun!  Children will participate in various types of PE games that involve tag, parachute, relays, and strategic invasion games such as Capture the Jewels.  Throughout the Fall and Spring, children will also participate in sports units including Soccer, Flag Football, Whiffleball, Ultimate Frisbee, games with paddles, Omni-Kin ball, and more!  Each class, children will learn the value of a specific God-given character trait (such as resilience) and the value it has for their lives.  This typically happens in short 5 minute small groups, and throughout the lesson as the children are engaging in the curriculum in fun and interactive ways.

Supplies:  Students will need closed-toe sneakers and a water bottle.

K-5 Art by Abrakadoodle

The Abrakadoodle art experience engages children with art lessons that will inspire your child’s imagination. Our program is intended to be an art enrichment class where children will explore a variety of art mediums and techniques.  The students will utilize materials such as watercolors, paint, oil pastels, air dry clay and more to create their own unique artwork.  Our emphasis is learning through the process of art and having fun.  Students will create and bring home a new piece of artwork each week.

Supplies: Students will need to purchase the following supplies for their individual art kits before the start of class: Crayola Broadline Colored Markers, Student Scissors, Glue sticks, and a Pencil box or large ziplock baggie to transport supplies.  We also recommend fingerless gloves for cold days at our Claude Moore Park location.

Add-On 3rd Hour Options – You Pick!

Once you have registered for the Base Package, you may opt to add on additional electives.  These electives may vary by location and cost.  The links to register for the Add-On Elective classes will be emailed to you after your Base Package registration is processed.  You may choose different additional classes for each semester.
