Spring 2024 Nature Study Class 

Claude Moore Park Naturalists will be offering a Nature Study class as an elective at Open Air during the optional 3rd hour.  This class is open to students in Grades K-6 who are already enrolled in the Spring 2024 Base Package of the Open Air Electives program at Claude Moore Park.

This class will be offered ONLY at the Claude Moore Park location of Open Air.

 

Class Minimum: 5;  Class Maximum: 15.

A Naturalist Instructor will lead the group on exploration hikes throughout various areas of Claude Moore Park.  Different themes will be highlighted each week.  Some examples of theme possibilities are; Bird migration, pond life, animal homes, insects, decomposition, and much more.  Participants will have the opportunity to visit with live animals and interact with many different natural items depending on the weekly theme.  Activities will take place mostly outside, but may include the exploration of some indoor exhibits as well.  The themes and lessons will be new and different each week!  Please note: Each child’s parent or guardian must sign up to accompany the group on their hike for 1 of the 8 weeks.

Cancellation Policy

Open Air class registration is fully refundable up to 30 days before classes begin. Thereafter, class registration can only be refunded if a child from the waitlist takes the cancelled spot. Once classes have begun, registration is non-refundable.
